President and CEO of CyberCorps, Robert has extensive US Government & State Government CISO & Cyber Security Officer leadership "wins & challenges" in the Federal & State IT Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) & Cybersecurity SOC program implementation pillars.

Robert is leveraging his experience as a Cyber Security Officer within the US GOVERNMENT and his in-depth CISO experience with the State of Maryland DHS, where Robert was accountable to build out a lean Cyber Security Operations Team (SECGOV, Vulnerability Intelligence & Security Operations Center) across both a "legacy" and a "cloud-based AWS environment" to support the mission objectives of CyberCorps in multiple Federal Cybersecurity contract opportunities under the State Department, and primarily in support of securing the global networks & infrastructures of the Federal Government from malicious attacks. 

He currently serves as a Cyber Security Officer with the US. GOVERNMENT, and has served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the State of Maryland Department of Human Services - DHS under both the Moore & Hogan administrations. Robert was also appointed by the Governor of Maryland ~ Governor Hogan to the Modernize Maryland Oversight Commission which has been created under the Emergency House Bill 1205 to review and harden the critical infrastructure for the state from cybersecurity threats & malicious threat vectors. This Governor appointed position fits well with Robert, as he is a U.S. Marine and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, who understands that the Six Sigma methodology is not a one-size model that fits all security improvement requirements, but a model that must be adapted to fit the culture and risk appetite of the business or government agency to drive continuous security improvement strategies.

Robert volunteers with both the Unites States Marine Corps Cyber Auxiliary and the State of Maryland Defense Force Cyber 256th Unit.

Robert graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business. He is a certified ITILv3 ITSM Planning, Protection, and Optimization (PPO) professional. Robert has extensive operational experience in the aerospace industry with NASA, FAA A&P Licensed Mechanic and Business Development experience, as well as the healthcare industry, property and casualty industry, military base ops support (USAFE - Incirlik Airbase Turkey), M&A experience, and data analytics.
